Inching Closer to the Dream: Release Date

1st November 2012

That, dear readers, is the release date for Drive Me To Distraction.

Along with the release date Momentum have sent the publishing schedule - which is a schedule of what happens when with the manuscript.  It made my little deadline orientated Capricorn heart sing with delight. Deadlines. Heaps of them.

Can it get any better??

Well yes.

THEN Momentum sent me the first round of edits.  I love edits.  Almost as much as I love deadlines.

Not being hard bitten or thick skinned, the first read of edits is always somewhat daunting. But I've made it through, the feedback and ideas are awesome (I mean SO, SO awesome), and are going to make great improvements to the book. (Not that it wasn't perfection in the first place, ahem).

Drive is being published by Aussie based Momentum - the digital arm of Pan Macmillian Australia. Writerly people, I highly recommend you submit to the them, you won't regret it :)

Congratulations Caitlyn, what an awesome feeling that must be.

I was just trying to post a comment on your post from two weeks back on crop rotation, but it said the thread was closed - is that deliberate?

I also meant to say, it's great to see you on our Sustainable Living linky lists, at http://sustainablesuburbia.net/sustainable-living-blogs/ - could you now post the button (or just a link) in your sidebar please?

Hi Kirsten :) Button on sidebar now, love being part of the linky, always keen to see what everyone else is doing as well.

Did have comments close after 10 days due to weird spam, but have opened them up again to see what happens. Love to hear your comment on crop rotation - going to be getting the spring planting going in a few weeks so will be doing a bed by bed type post once things get a bit more interesting out there :)

Thanks :)
Cait

How exciting, Caitlyn. Congratulations! I imagine this feels a bit like giving birth. I have enough Virgo in my chart to appreciate your appreciation for deadlines and edits!

Oh, right, yes I have had to do that on occasion too (close comments due to spam). Thanks for the button :) Will go check out the crop rotation post again now :)
